Math Olympics

James Valley Christian School had 27 students in grades three through eight compete in the National Association of Christian Schools Math Olympics Competition. Two third grade students, Karsen Ober, at right, and Esther Underkofler, advanced to the second level by placing in the top 25% of their grade. There were about 600 students nation-wide competing in grade-level categories of math computation and mathematical reasoning.

Karsen and Esther will compete in the next level of competition next month to see if they can qualify for the final round!
