Ellwein, Heinz named All-ESD

HURON Juniors Blake Ellwein and Hylton Heinz were named to the Eastern South Dakota Conference Basketball teams for Huron.

Ellwein was the lone selection for the Tigers on the All-ESD boys team.

Also named to the boys team were seniors Landon Dulaney and Mach Mayen of Brandon Valley; seniors Kaden Anderson and Nolan Krull of Harrisburg; seniors Gavin Hinker and Markus Talley of Mitchell; senior Luke Olson of Pierre and senior Marshal Smythe and sophmore Griffin Wiebenga of Tea Area.

Heinz was the lone representative on the All-ESD girls team for the Tigers.

Also named to the All-ESD girls team were sophomore Lauryn Burckhard and junior Lauryn Hermansen of Aberdeen Central; juniors Alyvia Padgett and Gracie Salter of Brandon Valley; senior Logan Smidt of Brookings; senior Makinley Lawrenson of Harrisburg; junior Addie Siemsen of Mitchell; senior Lennix DuPris of Pierre; and senior Emery Thury of Watertown.

Sophomore Eden Wolfgram of Yankton received honorable mention.
