Sanborn Central/Woonsocket lands three on All-281 girls’ team

IROQUOIS A pair of seniors and a junior from Sanborn Central/Woonsocket were named to the first team of the All-281 Conference girls basketball team, which was announced Sunday.

Earning first-team honors for the Lady Blackhawks, who finished as the runner-up in the Class B State Girls Basketball Tournament on Saturday, were seniors Alexa Goertz and Kaylie Robinson, along with junior Liz Boschee.

Also named to the first team were senior Katelyn Schroeder of Hitchcock-Tulare and freshman Jada Baloun of Highmore-Harrold.

Making up the second team were junior Kerstynn Heim of Wessington Springs; sophomore Shae Uttecht of Wolsey-Wessington; junior Hadlee Holt of Iroquois/Lake Preston; junior Autumn Fallis of Highmore-Harrold; and junior Cambree Hoekman of Hitchcock-Tulare.

Honorable mention went to junior Kendall Uttecht of Wolsey-Wessington; sophomore Kendall Kolousek of Wessington Springs; sophomore Addison Bartholow of Sanborn Central/Woonsocket; junior Addison McDonnell of Highmore-Harrold; and senior Abby Hinman of Sunshine Bible Academy.
