HURON Huron photographer Craig Lee recently participated in SYNC 2025: High School Senior and Youth Sports National Photography Conference, an industry-leading event that concluded on March 3rd in Miramar Beach, Fla. This annual gathering brought together photographers, educators, and industry professionals from across the country to engage in education, collaboration, and networking focused on high school senior and youth sports photography.
This years theme, Find Your People, resonated with attendees, emphasizing the importance of connection, collaboration, and communitynot just within the photography industry but in their own local communities as well.
SYNC 2025 featured an inspiring lineup of main stage presentations, an extensive trade show showcasing the latest photography products and services, and valuable networking opportunities with fellow photographers, speakers, and exhibitors.
Key Highlights from the SYNC 2025 conference include:
Fearless Collaboration keynote by Doug Brown: SYNC 2025 opened with a powerful and interactive keynote by platinum-selling recording artist Doug Brown. His session, Fearless Collaboration, encouraged attendees to embrace creative teamwork without fear of failurea skill essential in photography, business, and life. Through live audience participation, Doug created an original song inspired by SYNCs theme, weaving together words, music, and the collective energy of the SYNC community.
Networking and community building: With Find Your People at the heart of SYNC 2025, attendees engaged in meaningful conversations, mentorship moments, and unparalleled connections with industry professionals. These interactions reinforced not only the importance of professional collaboration but also the impact photographers can make in their own communities by fostering relationships and sharing their craft.
SYNC Image Competition: A highlight of the event was the SYNC Image Competition, where photographers submitted their best work for professional judging. Nearly 1100 images were submitted by photographers nation wide. Craig Lee Studios received 12 image merits for the 12 images he submitted. He won second place for his image Spirits Surround Me in the Senior Indoor category, got the third place award in the Senior Hobby/Art category for his image Spare Time and brought home the first place award in the Music category for his image titled Chords of Solitude showcasing his dedication to creativity and excellence.
Heart of Fire Pin relaunch: SYNC 2025 also marked the relaunch of the Heart of Fire Pin, an initiative that combines two past programsSYNC Hearts of Fire, which honored an individual or company for making an industry impact, and SYNC Difference Makers, which encouraged attendees to recognize someone who made a difference in their lives. Now, the Heart of Fire Pin allows every attendee to celebrate the people who have inspired and uplifted them, extending its impact across the SYNC community and beyond.
