Trio of area players headed to 3-Class Shootout in Salem

HURON A trio of area basketball players have been selected to participate in the 37th Annual 3-Class Shootout on Saturday at the McCook Central Auditorium in Salem.

All three classes in both boys and girls basketball will be represented by many of the top seniors in South Dakota.

Kaylie Robinson and Alexa Goertz of Sanborn Central/Woonsocket will play for the Class B girls team, while Moshe Richmond of Wolsey-Wessington will play for the Class B boys team.

The event will begin at 1 p.m., with the Class AA girls squaring off against the Class A girls. The Class B girls will face the winner of the opening game at 2:30 p.m.

The Class AA boys team will play the Class A boys at 4 p.m., with the Class B boys playing the winner of the first game at 5:30 p.m.
A dunk contest will be held between the two boys games.
