Huron Middle School Science Fair planned April 30
On March 11, the seventh and eighth grade girls got the chance to participate in the Women in Science Conference held at the Northern State University campus.
Women in Science brings over 300 students from the surrounding area to explore their interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics related careers. The students elected to participate so they could learn from prominent women in science and maybe discover a new career path.
The Huron Middle School Science Fair will be held on April 30th starting at 1 p.m. The students will present a project in which they will use to compete against grade level peers.
Monetary awards and prizes will be available due to generous donations from these local businesses: Dairy Queen, Godfathers Pizza, Taco Johns, McDonalds and the HMS PTO.
New this year is the addition of the Art & Cultural Fair, which will correspond with the Science Fair. This activity is open to the public and we encourage everyone to come and support their favorite participant.
