MITCHELL Lennox won both the boys and girls team titles during the Dakota Wesleyan University High School Open Indoor Track Meet on Tuesday at the Avera Sports and Wellness Complex.
Lennox had 86 points to edge Mitchell by six points in the final boys standings. Ethan/Parkston and Colman-Egan shared the third spot with scores of 55, while Winner was fifth in the 20-team event at 42.
Wessington Springs had 16 points to finished in a three-way tie for spot No. 10, while Huron was 13th at 14.
Lennox also had 86 points in the final girls standings, while Mitchell was second at 81.5. Burke was third at 46.5, while Ethan/Parkston and Colman-Egan shared the fourth spot with scores of 44.
Wessington Springs finished tied for seventh at 21, while Huron was 16th at 11.5.
We had a lot of personal records today and some top-8 finishes, Huron coach Angie Thomas said.
Next up for the Tigers is the Huron Invitational on April 11.
