Tigers tennis splits triangular

HURON The Huron Tigers boys tennis opened the 2025 season with a split in a triangular against Watertown and Pierre on Saturday at Huron Tennis Courts.

Watertown handled Huron, 8-1, in the first match, with a win at No. 4 singles by Maner Htoo the lone victory over Xane Fligge.

Huron was able to sweep all three doubles matches against Pierre to key a 7-2 victory. Htoo got his second victory of the day in No. 4 singles then joined with Matthew Thin to score a win in No. 1 doubles.

Huron coach Tim Hedbloom summed up the day.

I felt our nerves showed against Watertown. We came out and played well, but we were just unable to finish the matches. Hedbloom said. I thought we played composed against Pierre. We were able to pick up a good team win and quality conference and class wins.
