HAYTI The Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones girls outpaced the competition on Tuesday to earn a team title at the Banana Relays, held at Hamlin School.
The Cyclones scored 193 team points, edging Watertown, who scored 183.
James Valley Christian finished fifth with 48 team points.
The Vikings and Cyclones finished fifth and sixth in the boys team points, with the Cyclones placing fifth at 76 points and JVC recording 67 team points. Sioux Valley won with 183 points.
The Cyclones took the first three positions in the 100-meter dash for the girls, with Kelsey Hofer finishing first, Madison Brenden coming in second, and Nevaeh Reitz placing third. Brenden also won the 200-meter dash.
Jennifer Bevers won the 400-meter dash for the Cyclone girls while Kamryn Nesheim broke the tape in both the 800-meter and 1600-meter runs. Zoe Nichols won the 300-meter hurdles.
The Clark/Willow Lake girls relay teams did well as well, placing first in the 4×200, 4×400 and 4×800 relays.
For the Cyclone boys, Michael Severson won the shot put.
Winners for JVC included Kaden Ober in the boys 3200-meter run and Tayne Herrmann in the boys javelin,
Miller participates in the BDC meet
MISSION Chamberlain won the girls team title and Winner took the boys team title in the Big Dakota Conference track meet Tuesday at Todd County High School.
Millers girls finished fourth and the boys finished sixth in team points.
Pierce Baumberger won the 3200-meter run and Isaak Hunter swept the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles for Miller.
For the Miller girls, Aleah Schlechter won the javelin and Kate Lichty won the triple jump.
Heartland teams participate in Charger Invite
ONIDA Hitchcock-Tulare, Highmore-Harrold, and Sunshine Bible Academy each participated in the Charger Invite at the Sully Buttes Track Complex on Tuesday.
Philip ran away with the boys team title and Ipswich did the same with the girls team title.
Hitchcock-Tulare girls had the best team finish of any Heartland team, finishing fifth with 59 points.

De Smet girls win team title at Howard Tiger Relays
HOWARD Heartland area teams finished well at the Howard Tiger Relays on Tuesday.
The De Smet Bulldogs girls won the team title with 146 points, beating host Howard, with 107. Sanborn Central/Woonsocket finished third with 104 team points.
Iroquois/Lake Preston had 59 team points.
The Sharks finished second in the boys team competition, scoring 101 point to come in behind McCook Central/Montrose.
Sanborn Central/Woonsocket had 89 team points and De Smet scored 83.
For the Bulldogs girls, Cambria Gross won the 1600-meter run, Mirra Beck took first in the 300-meter hurdles,
De Smet also won the 4×200 relay, 4×400 relay, and the 4×800 relay.
Liz Boschee won the 100-meter hurdles, high jump, and the long jump for the Sanborn Central/Woonsocket girls. The Blackhawk girls won the medley relay.
Hadlee Holt swept the shot put and discuss for Iroquois/Lake Preston.
Carter Arbeiter won the 110-meter hurdles for Iroquois/Lake Preston.
Grant Edwards took the 300-meter and triple jump titles for the Blackhawks.
De Smet won the 4×100 relay, 4×200 relay and 4×400 relay.
Springs boys second at Jaguar Invite
CORSICA The Wessington Springs boys finished second in the team competition Tuesday at the Jaguar Invitational at the Corsica-Stickney track complex.
Gregory won the boys team title with 172.33 points. The Spartans finished second with 108 points.
On the girls side, Burke ran away with the team title with 178 points.
Wessington Springs finished fourth with 61 points.
The Spartan boys won the 4×800-meter relay and placed in the top five of each other relay.
Sutton Jensen was the lone title winner for the Spartans, breaking the tape in the 3200-meter run and finishing fourth in the 1600-meter run. Multiple placewinners included Ranick Fjerstad (second 1600-meter, third 3200-meter), Colby Flowers (second 110-meter hurdles, fourth 300-meter hurdles), Ryder Michalek (second high jump, eighth 100-meter dash), Carson Finn (third high jump, fifth 400-meter dash), and Kohen Mebius (seventh 1600-meter, eighth 800-meter).
Springs girls won the medley relay but had no individual winners. Bailey Yost placed in three events, taking second in the 100-meter hurdles, fifth in the 200-meter dash, and fifth in the 300-meter hurdles.
Anna Arhart finished second in shot put and eighth in discus while Alexis Roesler finished third in the 3200-meter run and eighth in the 1600-meter.
