HURON Miller won the boys and girls team titles during the Wolsey-Wessington Invite on Friday at Broadland Creek Golf Course.
The Rustlers used a score of 244 to top the 6-team field in the boys division. Wessington Springs was second at 256, followed by Sanborn Central/Woonsocket at 163, Doland at 275 and Wolsey-Wessington at 291.
James Valley Christian did not have a team score.
Miller had three of the top five boys golfers in the event.
Derek Brueggeman won the tournament for the Rustlers with a 79, while teammates Jorryn Heilman and Oliver Fritzsche were fourth and fifth, respectively, with scores of 82 and 83.
JD Thompson of Wessington Springs was second with an 80, while Larz Tvedt of Wolsey-Wessington was third with an 81.
Doland teammates Briggs LaBrie and Kaiden Weinreis were sixth and seventh, respectively, with scores of 83.
Rounding out the top 10 were Ethan Schmiedt of Sanborn Central/Woonsocket at 84, Luke Larson of Wessington Springs at 85 and Sam Baruth of Sanborn Central/Woonsocket at 86.
With the top three golfers in the tournament, Miller cruised to the girls team title. The Rustlers finished at 255, while Sanborn Central/Woonsocket was a distant second at 366.
Jayce Pugh carded a 77 to win the event for Miller, while teammates Kaihlyn Anderberg and Sydeny Asmus were second and third, respectively, wit scores of 86 and 92.
Olivia Knox of Doland was fourth at 96, while Addison Bartholow of Sanborn Central/Woonsocket was fifth at 106.
