Bockorny reviews economic development bills from 2025 SD legislative session

HURON South Dakota Economic Development Professionals Association (EDPA) CEO Michael Bockorny spoke with a group of Greater Huron Development Corporation (GHDC) board members as well as District 22 representatives Kevin Van Diepen and Lana Greenfield on Tuesday at the GHDC conference room in Huron.
Bockorny, a Huron native and longtime CEO of the Aberdeen Development Corporation, highlighted the bills that EDPA had constructed and endorsed during the 2025 S.D. legislative session.

While he admitted that many of the organizations targeted legislation did not pass, he also highlighted progress made on multiple pieces of legislation that could lead to better results in the future.

Bockorny also focused his presentation on childcare needs in the state and the future growth of AI and data centers along with their impact on S.D. business.
