Tigers close regular season with split

HURON The Huron boys tennis team closed the regular season with a split in two matches on Saturday in Brookings.

The Tigers recorded a 7-2 victory against the host team, but suffered an 8-1 setback against Yankton.

Huron swept the doubles competition against the Bobcats, but managed just four singles wins.

Claiming singles victories for the Tigers were Matthew Thin at No. 1, Say Poe at No. 2, Ler Hai Moo at No. 5 and Aung Myit at No. 6.

Hurons lone win against Yankton was by Htoo Zan in No. 3 singles.

The Tigers will close the season at the Class A State Tournament, which is scheduled May 19-20 in Sioux Falls.
