HURON SDFB has awarded $8,000 in scholarship monies for 2025. Recipients are high school seniors who themselves, or their parents/guardians, are current members of South Dakota Farm Bureau and have been for at least two years.
Receiving Community Focus Scholarships were Brooklyn Baloun of Highmore, who graduated from Highmore-Harrold High School and is a biology major at Augustana University; and Ella Johnson of Frankfort, who graduated from Hitchcock-Tulare High School and plans to attend Mount Marty University, majoring in Nursing.
Applicants were considered for an agriculture-focused or community-focused scholarship, depending on their major and experience with agriculture.
