WATERTOWN Clark/Willow Lake slipped to third in the final standings at the Class B State Boys Golf Tournament on Tuesday at Cattail Crossing Golf Course.
After opening with a 229, which had them sitting second, the Cyclones turned in a 245 during the final 18 holes on Tuesday to finish third with a 474.
Hanson, which held a 4-stroke lead after the first round with a 225, shot a 234 Tuesday to barely hang on to win the Class B state title.
Wall used a 229 on Tuesday, which was two strokes better than its first round score to finish at 460, which put them one shot behind Hanson in the final standings.
Hill City and Sully Buttes shared the fourth spot with scores of 485.
Miller finished tied for seventh with a 488, while Wessington Springs was 12th at 497, De Smet was 14th at 502 and Sanborn Central/Woonsocket and Doland were No. 17 and 18, respectively, with scores of 514 and 518.
Trevor Schulz of Wall rallied to win the Class B boys individual title on Tuesday. With a 71, he improved three strokes to finished at 145, which gave him the state title by three strokes over Gavin Colson of Sully Buttes.
Will Jarding of Hanson was third with a 149, while Larz Tvedt of Wolsey-Wessington and Wyatt Larson of McIntosh shared the fourth spot with scores of 150.
Kaiden Weinreis of Doland was 10th with a 153, while Maxxon Kees of De Smet and Oliver Fritzsche of Miller shared the 11th spot with scores of 154.
Clark/Willow Lake teammates Kooper Wookey and Kaden Wookey shared the 15th spot with scores of 156.
