Its that time! The twenty-second Wheel Jam kicks off in Huron on Thursday. Here is the schedule for the busy weekend:
Thursday, June 5
7 a.m. – 8 p.m. – Wash and polish pavilion, east side of Carnival Mat.
8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. – Wheel Jam Truck Show registration, Younger Hall.
7 p.m. – Wild race car night at Dakota State Fair Speedway. Doors open at 6 p.m. Admission – adults $25, youth $10.
Friday, June 6
7 a.m. – 8 p.m. – Wash and polish pavilion, east side of Carnival Mat.
8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. – Wheel Jam Truck Show registration, Younger Hall.
Noon – Food vendors open.
Noon – 8 p.m. – Bouncy houses and face painting, Younger Park.
5 p.m. – Candy Weinreis memorial poker run beginning at Red Arrow Bar. Register from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., ride begins at 6 p.m. $20 per hand cost.
5 p.m. – 9 p.m. – Tap Haus open, independent midway.
5:30 p.m. – 7 – Original SD BBQ Championships: F.A.T. Friday Chili Challenge Peoples Choice Tasting, inside of Gate 8. Cost $5. Awards at 7:15 p.m.
6-7 p.m. – Long Haul Paul, east of Younger Hall.
7:30-9 p.m. – Tony Justice, east of Younger Hall.
9 p.m. – 1 a.m. – Big Jim Jam Fest featuring Eclipse with Tyler Joe, NorthWestern Energy Freedom Stage, cost $5. Doors open at 8 p.m.
Saturday, June 7

Noon – 5 p.m. Midwest SPL and Bass Wars Sound Competition, The DEX. Registration opens at 10 a.m.
Noon – 4 p.m. – Xtreme GraphiX Bike Show, Midway Mercantile.
Noon – 4 p.m. – Backstreet Cruisers Car Show.
1 p.m. – Dynamic Engine Brake Competition, Nevada Ave. between Market St. and Gate 3.
1 p.m. – Junior Achievement Bean Bag Tournament, Horticulture Park.
2 p.m. 3:30 p.m. – Original SD BBQ Championships: Backyard BBQ Peoples Choice Tasting, inside Gate 8, $10 cost.
3 p.m. – Kids Power Wheels Drag Race, 3rd St. and Livestock Ave.
4 p.m. – Wheel Jam awards, south of Prostrollo Motors Building.
4 :15 p.m. – Original SD BBQ Championships awards, Gate 8.
5 p.m. – Harley Stunt Competition, 3rd St. and Livestock Ave.

7:30 a.m.-11 a.m. – Pancake Feed hosted by Christian Motorcycle Association, Horizons Hall, free will offering.
10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. – Vendors open.
10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. – Bouncy houses and face painting, Younger Park.
11 a.m. – 3 p.m. – Wheel Jam Truck Show judging.
11:15 a.m. – Church service, Horizons Hall.
Noon – 4 p.m. – Classic Car and Motorcycle Show N Shine Showcase, machinery area. Registration begins at 9 a.m.
Noon – 4 p.m. – Pickup party, machinery area. Registration begins at 9 a.m.
4 p.m. – Wheel Jam awards, south of Prostrollo Motors Building.
