Area students achieve collegiate honors

Northwestern College announces Deans List
ORANGE CITY, Iowa Local Northwestern College students have earned a spot on the Academic Deans List for the spring 2025 semester.The Deans List is comprised of students who achieved a semester grade point average of 3.50 or above while carrying a minimum of 12 graded hours. This semester, 414 students qualified for the Deans List. Of them, 260 students earned a GPA of 3.75 or higher and are considered Collegiate Scholars, designated with an asterisk.

Named to the list are Andrea Eckmann of Huron, who graduated in 2025 with a degree in accounting; Kadyn Fast, Iroquois, pursuing a degree in business administration and agricultural business; and *Melissa Thompson, Cavour, a senior computer science major.

School of Mines releases Deans List
RAPID CITY South Dakota Mines is celebrating academic excellence this spring, honoring 763 high-achieving students for their hard work and dedication. A total of 653 students earned a place on the Spring 2025 Deans List, and 110 students were recognized on the Academic Recognition List.

The Deans List recognition is for full-time students while the Academic Recognition List is for part-time students.

Those named to the Deans List include Alana Howard, Miller; Elsa Wren, Redfield; and Andrew Lindgren and Noah Terkildsen, Woonsocket.

Southeast Tech announces Presidents List
SIOUX FALLS The following Southeast Technical College students were recognized on the Presidents List for academic achievement during the spring 2025 semester. To be named to the Presidents List, students must be seeking a degree and have a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Students include Halee Allerdings, Huron – Accounting; Kevin Andrade-Avila, Huron – Diesel Technology: Trucking; Marisol Dubon, Huron – Business Administration; Lisa Engelhart, Huron – Veterinary Technician; Alma Gonzalez, Huron – Medical Assistant; Taylor Horn, Wolsey – Registered Nurse; Maria Mantilla, Huron – Medical Assistant; Teresa Roebuck, Huron – Human Resource Management; Alexis Stevens, Huron – Licensed Practical Nursing; Say Da Wa, Huron – Medical Assistant and Abrianna Zuccaro, Huron – Media Design Technology.
