Local author celebrates 10th book – ‘Kim’s Journey’

Spink County author Richard Skorupski, known for his heartwarming Flyover County series set in the fictional town of Helen, South Dakota, has just released his tenth book, Kims Journey.

Skorupski, a retired Navy Chief and proud South Dakotan, weaves tales that celebrate small-town values, faith, and second chances. His latest story follows Kim, a big-city wedding planner whose life unravels in a single devastating week. Betrayed and bankrupt, Kim finds refuge in rural South Dakota where unexpected friendships, country roads, and a peaceful lake may offer her the fresh start she never thought possible.

Kims Journey is about hope after heartache, said Skorupski, of Frankfort. Its for anyone whos ever lost everything and had to start over. And its a love letter to the strength and kindness Ive seen in small-town America especially right here in our corner of South Dakota.

With relatable characters, gentle humor, and Christian-based themes, Kims Journey continues the Flyover County tradition of wholesome escape fiction thats earned Skorupski loyal fans across the Midwest.

Readers can find Kims Journey and the full Flyover County series on Amazon or at www.flyovercounty.com. Locals are encouraged to follow the authors Facebook page for book signings and community events.
