Uttecht attends national realty meetings in D.C.

Angie Uttecht, Broker/Owner of Ace Realty recently attended the National Association of Realtors Legislative meetings in Washington, D.C., joining thousands of realtors from across the country, including more than 30 South Dakota realtors, all working together to discuss and advocate for the real estate industry.

Realtors had a meeting on Capitol Hill with lawmakers to champion homeownership, protect private property rights and advocate for issues that matter most to buyers and homeowners nationwide.

South Dakota realtors met with Senate Majority Leader John Thune, Senator Mike Rounds and Representative Dusty Johnson, who Uttecht serves as a federal political coordinator for the South Dakota Realtors. They discussed South Dakota real estate trends and the importance of helping more citizens become homeowners.

With more than 2,000 members statewide, the South Dakota Association of REALTORS (SDR) serves as the voice for real estate in the state, aiming to support its members by providing timely information, quality education, political advocacy, and promoting the REALTOR image and Code of Ethics. They also focus on protecting private property rights and advocating for policies that expand access to homeownership.
