Awarded for educational excellence

Founded in 1983, The Presidents Award for Educational Excellence recognizes students whose outstanding efforts have enabled them to meet challenging standards of excellence and academic success in the classroom. To be eligible, students must meet requirements, including grade point average and standardized test scores.

At Holy Trinity Catholic School this includes maintaining a 90% in all subject areas and exceeding proficiency on the South Dakota Math or English Language Arts Assessment. The award is given to students in third, fourth, and fifthgrade with special recognition to students who receive the award all three years.

Earning the award this year were Marcella in third grade, Claudia, Briggs, GraceAnne, Blayne, Ryan, Po, and Jaylee in fourth grade, and Thiago and Eloise in fifth grade. Eloise was also recognized for receiving this award all three years.

HTCS is proud to honor both student achievement and hard work with the this prestigious award from the President and the U.S. Secretary of Education.
