Trio of area coaches honored

SIOUX FALLS A trio of area coaches were honored by the South Dakota High School Coaches Association for the spring season of 2025.

Karren Rogers of Miller was selected at the Girls Golf Coach of the Year, while Tim Hedblom and Rachel Kary of Huron were finalists for the Tennis Coach of the Year honor.

These individuals will be recognized at the annual awards ceremony, which will be held on Sunday at 1 p.m. CDT at the Mitchell Career & Technical Education Academy (MCTEA) 821 N Capital, Mitchell. There will be no meal served so no tickets will be sold and there is plenty of room to attend.
