Charleigh Brewer, 15, of Wessington won the 2025 Breakaway Maturity Champion on Scarlet during the 5-State Breeder Futurity and Maturity, which concluded Sunday in Rapid City.
She was also fourth on Salty, while finishing first and second in the All-Girls Breakaway Maturity on Scarlet and Alty, respectively. Brew also won the first round in breakaway on Cosmo.
All three horses were born and raised on the Brewere Ranch and trained by the teenager.
