District 3B tourney to begin Saturday

COLOME After going 13-1 en route to wining the Pony Hills League title, Kimball/White Lake will hold the top seed for the District 3B Amateur Baseball Tournament, which begins Saturday in Colome.

Kimball/White Lake will host No. 8 Colome (1-13) in the opening game of the tourney at noon.

Fourth-seeded Plankinton (7-7) will play No. 5 Chamberlain (5-9) at 2 p.m., followedd by second-seeded Four Corners (12-2) against No. 7 Winner (5-9) at 4:30 p.m., and third-seeded Burke (8-6) against No. 6 Wessington Springs (5-9) at 6:30 p.m.

Consolation games will be held at noon and 2 p.m. Saturday in Colome, with the semi-final games to follow at 4:30 a.m.d 6:30 p.m.

The tournament will then move to Chamberlain for the final three days of competition.

The consolation round will be held July 28, 29 and 31, with the championship game slated for 7:30 p.m., July 30.
