WOONSOCKET A heavy storm moved through the town of Woonsocket Sunday afternoon, leaving a path of destruction throughout the town in its wake.
Cleanup efforts are already underway in the town as businesses and residents evaluate and pick up from the damage.
The National Weather Service announced that preliminary information collected suggested that the system did not exhibit tornadic activity and that the damage was due to very high straight-line winds.
