On behalf of ll the members and Ambassadors, we want to congratulate you again on 100 years, said Chamber Ambassador Phelan Stahl after the ribbon cutting.
The Country club was founded in 1925, making it a significant part of the citys history. The Club offers a blend of historical presence with modern conveniences. It also has a nine-hole golf course with elevation changes, trees, and water hazards.
It is a family friendly country club that provides golf, dining options, pool, and social events. Country Club President Nate Sondreal gave a short speech stating, Were not just a golf course, we also do a lot of social events and offer social memberships for $300 per year and would love to have more of you join us out here.

For current President Sondreal, the Huron Country Club has been a part of his life almost since the day he was born. My grandparents were members, and my parents are members, Sondreal added. He has been voted as president the last two years when he made the decision to join the board.
It was never really a goal for me to be president, but I knew I wanted to be a part of the board and to make a positive impact to the club, he stated. His father, Rob Sondreal was President once in 1990, and again in 2010. His grandfather, Donovan Sondreal also was President in 1977.
Nate is the first third generation that has been president from our family, said Rob. Nate hadnt known his grandfather was ever president until he started researching and putting together history in preparation for this Centennial event. Once I found out, I immediately felt an even bigger sense of pride, to know that I am continuing on what my grandpa started almost 50 years ago, he stated.
People take great pride in being a member at the Huron Country Club and throughout the years, many have worked hard to create a great culture that is friendly and inviting to all alike.
Jay Morris, who was President in 2007 and 2008, attended the Centennial.
Morris stated, Out here everyone is like family, and Im happy to be here celebrating 100 years. He has been a member of the Club since 2003.
