Mark Strickler, 69

CAVOUR Mark Strickler, age 69, of Cavour, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at Avantara in Huron.

His funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, August 2, at the Iroquois South Gym in Iroquois, with burial to follow at Manchester Cemetery in Manchester.

Visitation, with his family present, will be from 5 to 7 p.m., on Friday, August 1, at the Iroquois South Gym in Iroquois. A prayer service will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Friday evening.

Mark Strickler was born on December 3, 1955. Mark was born to Kenneth and Eileen (Warren) Strickler of Manchester.

He was married to Kimberly Bau, June 14, 1987. Mark continued to work the family farm until 1999. Mark was a devoted family man, and proud father to two sons Jesse and Mitchell, and proud Papa Bear to two granddaughters Brooklyn and Ella. He was a member of the South Dakota Jaycees and served on the Manchester township board. Before retiring Mark worked for Agtegra/Northstar as a propane delivery specialist, Mark retired during the peak of covid.

He is survived by his wife Kim Strickler formerly of Cavour; his mother Eileen Strickler formerly of Iroquois; two sons Jesse (Stacy) Strickler of Huron, and Mitchell Strickler of Cavour; granddaughters Brooklyn and Ella; two sisters Paula (Rod) DeJong of Watertown and Lisa (Kevin) Butler of Ashwaubenon, Wis.; one brother Kevin (Susan) Strickler of Sioux Falls; sister-in-law Pam Adelman of Brookings; brother-in-law Joe (Cindy) Bau of De Smet, and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father Kenneth Strickler, his grandson Cash Strickler, his in-Laws Leo and Lorraine (Hegdahl) Bau; brothers-in-law: Gordy Mausbach, Adrian Adelman, and Ricky Bau; and his nephew Tyler Bau.
