HURON Hitchcock-Tulare improved to 2-0 with a sweep against James Valley Christian on Thursday.
The Lady Patriots claimed the match with set scores of 25-14, 25-16 and 25-11.
Cora Hofer recorded 12 kills on 18 of 20 attacks to lead Hitchcock-Tulare.
Emmerie Arthers was 14 of 17 hitting with four kills, while Tess Bixler was 12 of 14 with four kills.
Arthurs recorded four aces on 5 of 6 serving for the Lady Patriots, while Bixler was 15 of 18 with three aces and Olivia Knox was perfect on 26 serves with an ace.
Bixler also converted on 69 of 72 sets and finished with 26 assists for Hitchcock-Tulare.
Defensively, Cambree Hoekman had 12 digs, while Arthurs and Knox each had six digs.
Rebecca Huizenga had two solo and two assisted blocks, while Bixler had a solo and three assisted blocks.
Addison Kleinsasser led JVC with five kills on 11 of 12 hitting, while Nave Gross was 16 of 21 spiking with two kills and Kaitlyn Stahl had two kills on 7 of 8 attacks.
Kleinsasser was also 7 of 7 serving with an ace for the Lady Vikings, who are now 0-3. Autumn Stahl was 8 of 8 serving, while Kaitlyn Stahl converted on 6 of 8 serves.
Dara Olowu-Davies was 60 of 61 setting with seven assists for JVC. Kaitlyn Stahl recorded a team-high 17 digs, while Eliana VanScharrel had 12 digs.
Hitchcock-Tulare plays in the Redhawk Tournament in Estelline today, while JVC is now off until it hosts Howard on Sept. 15.
