ABERDEEN The Huron Tigers boys golf team traveled to Aberdeen on Tuesday to participate in the Hub City Invitational.
Watertown won the team title with a 299 team score, defeating Brookings by one shot.
Watertowns Jerome Zebroski won in a playoff over Tyson Lunn of Brookings. Both shot one-under 70.
The top golfer for Huron was Emrick DeDeyne with a 98 to place 43rd. Remington Wipf carded a 105. Ryker Shelton shot a 111, and Kaleb Rashaad carded a 113.
Tuesday, August 26 Huron traveled to the Pierre Invite. Watertown won the team title with a team score of 290 to finish two strokes ahead of Brandon Valley.
Everett Morrison of Mitchell shot a three-under 69 to win by a shot over Gavin Neyens of Watertown and Will Peterson of Brandon Valley, who both finished the day carding a 70.
Emerick DeDeyne led Huron golfers with a 90 to finish 67th. Remington Wipf shot a 106, Corbin Fuchs scored a 112 and David Emmert had a 115 in team scoring. Kaleb Rashaad finished the day with a 123 for Huron.
Huron also hosted the Huron Invitational on Thursday, August 28, at Broadland Creek Golf Course.
OGorman ran away with the team title, shooting 11-over on the day to finish four strokes ahead of Brandon Valley and Mitchell.
Taten Mauney was the sole player on the day to shoot under par, taking the win with a one-under 71. Four players tied at two-over for second place.
Ty Kleinsasser led the way for Huron golfers with an 11-over 83, one shot ahead of Chase Schuchhardt, who finished with an 84. Kleinsasser tied for 36th and Schuchhardt tied for 41st.
Emrick DeDeyne carded a 97 and Remington Wipf finished at 99. David Emmert (117) and Corbin Fuchs (123) rounded out the Huron contingent.
Hurons varsity golfers are off now until Friday, Sept. 12, when the Tigers will travel to Yankton.
