TEA Using a shutout, Tea Area earned its second win in a row and fourth of the season against Huron in a varsity boys soccer game Thursday.
The Titans had three goals in the opening half en route to the victory.
Not a great game on our end, Huron coach Leah Branaugh said. We had minutes of good play and times where we let up too much.
Tea took shots and made them and we just couldnt connect, she said.
Jaxon Andru had five saves in the net for the Tigers, who are now 0-5-1.
Huron earned a 3-1 victory in the junior varsity boys game.
Aiden Maung had a pair of goals for the Tigers, while the other goal was scored by Jose Figueroa.
Jhonatan Ordonez earned the win in the net for Huron with three saves.
The Tigers travel to face Mitchell in the Kernel Bowl at 11 a.m., today at Joe Quintal Field.
Girls
Tea Area claimed its second win of the season with a 10-0 decision against Huron on Thursday.
Wai Wai Lin had seven saves for the Tigers in the opening half, while Moo Say had a pair of saves in the second half.
Tea Area won the JV girls game 3-0.
Rosy Wah and Kee Ler Paw each had four saves for the Tigers.
Huron (0-6) will travel to play Mitchell in the Kernel Bowl at 1 p.m., today at Joe Quintal Field.
