ABERDEEN The Huron and Miller cross country teams competed in the Sahli/Salmi Invitational on Thursday at Lee Park Golf Course.
Josie Vlieger was the top runner for the Tigers in the girls varsity race. She finished 15th at 22:10, while teamamte Lily Meyer was 22nd at 22:52.
Gabby Werdel of Miller and Lily Swanson of Huron finished in spots No. 30 and 31, respectively, with times of 23:46 and 24:13.
Pierre teammates Emery Larson and Gwen Richter were first and second, respectively, in the girls varsity race.
Watertown won the girls title with 48 points, while Aberdeen Central was second at 56.
Aberdeen Central won the boys title.
Carson Urlacher won the varsity boys race for the Golden Eagels in 16:18.
Teagan Lien finished 19th to lead Huron with a time of 19:24, while James Weir was 34th at 20:24.
Isiah Gortmaker led Miller with a 20:39 to finish 37th, while Rhett Munger was 39th at 20:53.
