HURON The Huron girls tennis team went 1-1 in a pair of matches on Saturday.
A 6-3 win against Brookings was the fifth of the season for the Tigers.
Recording singles wins for Huron were Ellie Puterbaugh at No. 3, Taylor Sorben at No. 4, Brooke Hunter at No. 5 and Blue Shee at No. 6.
Sorben and Hunter used 7-1 tiebreakers to pull out 10-9 wins.
The Tigers won two of the three doubles matches.
Puterbaugh and Sorben combined for a 10-5 win at No. 2 and Hunter and Shee inked a 10-7 win at No. 3.
Huron managed just a single win in the match against Watertown on Saturday.
Puterbaugh won in No. 3 singles 7-6 by injury default.
The Tigers, who are now 5-11, will host Mitchell at 1 p.m. Thursday, befor traveling to Aberdeen for the Elliot Extravaganza at 9 a.m. Saturday.
