WEBSTER Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central, which is receiving votes in the Class 11B football rankings, inked a 53-0 victory against Webster Area on Friday.
Luke Larson threw for three touchdowns and ran for another to lead the Bucks to the win. He completed 10 of 13 passes for 225 yards, while rushing for 44 yards on four carries.
Nathan Giakowski had two of the touchdown receptions from Larson, finishing with four catches for 80 yards. Grant Edwards also had a 40-yard touchdown reception for W/WS/SC, while Colby Flowers had three catches for 69 yards.
Wesley Molnare had a pair of rushing touchdowns for the Bucks. He led the way with 11 carries for 115 yards.
Molnar also was a defensive standout for W/WS/SC with three tackles an an interception. Ethan Amick also had an interception.
The Bucks, who are now 3-0, are back in action Friday, when they host No. 5-ranked Winner (2-2) in a 7 p.m., matchup in Wessington Springs.
Sully Buttes 42, Hitchcock-Tulare 12
TULARE Sully Buttes, which is ranked No. 1 in Class 9B, cruised a 52-12 victory against Hitchcock-Tulare on Friday.
The Patriots had touchdown runs in the first and second quarters. The first was 20-yards by Max Gilbert, while the second was a 44-yard scoring run by Devin Enander.
Enander finished with 123 yards rushing on 25 carries, while Gilbert had 13 carries for 75 yards.
Enander was also 7 of 11 passing for 76 yards with an interception.
Derek Johnson was the leading receiver with one catch for 30 yards. Preston Wipf had three catches for 22 yards, while Gilbert had two receptions for 13 yards.
Enander also led the defensive until for Hitchcock-Tulare with seven solo and one assisted tackle, while Gilbert had five solo stops to go along with an assisted tackle.
No statistics were available for Sully Buttes.
The Patriots, who are now 1-3, will be off until Sept. 26, when they travel to face Sunshine Bible Academy.
