PIERRE Wolsey-Wessington posted the third highest score in the cheer competition on Saturday in the Pierre Invite.
The Warbirds had a score of 225 to finish behind Rapid City Central at 240 and Watertown at 238.50 in the 13-team event.
The Huron dance team was ninth, while the cheer team was 11th on Saturday
The Tigers had a score of 27 in the dance competition. Rapid City Central was the top team with 39, while Aberdeen Central was second at 38, followed by Watertown at 37.
Huron had a score of 213.5 in hip hop and 210.5 in pom.
In the cheer competition, the Tigers had a score of 184.50.
Wolsey-Wessington returned to action Tuesday at the Parkston Competitive Cheer Invitational, but results were not available.
Huron is off until the Huron Invitational at 5 p.m. on Sept. 16 at Huron Arena.
