Huron golfers compete in Watertown

WATERTOWN With the top two golfers in the field, Harrisburg won the title at the Watertown Invitational on Tuesday at Cattail Crossing Golf Course.

Harrisburg finished a 285, which was six stroke ahead of runner-up, Mitchell.

Watertown was third at 303, followed Brandon Valley at 305 and Yankton at 311.
Huron finished 14th at 397.

Charlie Swift claimed the top spot for Harrisburg with a 3-under-par 69, while teammate Riley Christensen was second with a 72.

Johnathan Lake of Watertown was third with a 73, while Tea Area teammates Landon Baker and Quentin Maag were fourth and fifth, respectively, with scores of 73.

Asher Dannenbring of Mitchell and Jerome Zebroski of Watertown also had scores of 73 to finish sixth and seventh, respectively.

Blake Ellwein shot a 92 to lead Huron, while Emrick DeDeyne carded a 94. Rounding out the lineup were Oliver Stansfield with a 96 and Ryker Shelton with a 115.

Huron will be back in action on Monday at the Eastern South Dakota Conference Meet in Brandon.
