HURON After suffering its first loss of the season in its last outing, the James Valley Christian soccer team returned to its winning ways with a 4-1 victory against West Central on Tuesday.
West Central had the opening goal in the 12th minute, but the Vikings answered with the next four goals.
Isaac Fast scored on a pass from Luke Miller to put JVC on the board. Gavin Waldner then scored with an assist going to Jonah Niederbaumer.
The third goal was by Noah Fast on a pass from Waldner, with the final goal coming late in the game by Isaac Wipf on a throw in.
The Vikings outshot West Central 13-5. Niederbaumer finished with three saves.
JVC, which is now 8-1, travels to play Groton Area on Thursday.
The Vikings won the junior varsity game 6-1.
Brady Wipf and Keeghann Hold split time in the net for JVC.
Kasen Ober had a pair of goals for the Vikings (2-1-1), while Milo Glanzer, Gian Estrada, Shem Mendel and Skylar Thielbar each had a goal.
