Letter – Lloyd 9-27-25

To the editor,

I do agree with what Tim Waltner (Plainsman, Sept. 6) said about the newspaper closed. You can ask any of my five grown up kids, and they knew I was not going to like having no paper to read everyday They all grew up remembering me read the paper.

Back in 1991, when I moved to Huron, I always looked forward to read the paper. I have an HH brain tumor,so I cannot drive anymore. My kids grew up and moved out, so I had no way to get paper. I got a subscription then so I can get it in the mail.

I can remember when there were about ten rummage sale ads. Now there are two, maybe. I dont want to lose the paper again, but I think in about three or four years the postal system will be closed.

Everything is online anymore. Reminds me of doing taxes, online is way easier than paperwork.

Jay Lloyd
