HURON Sanborn Central/Woonsocket recorded a sweep against James Valley Christian on Thursday to boost its record to 10-6.
The Lady Blackhawks used wet scores of 25-28, 25-7 and 25-21 to claim the match.
Liz Boschee had 11 kills to lead Sanborn Central/Woonsocket, while Addison Abartholow had seven kills.
Bartholow also had three aces for the Blackhawks, while Cami Edwards and Boschee each had two aces. Kali Hofer and Addy Baruth finished with 10 and five assists, respectively.
Hofer and Kenzie Baruth each had 16 digs, while Boschee ad Tor Hoffman each had a block.
Addison Kleinsasser was 17 of 19 hitting with five kills for James Valley Christian, while Kaitlyn Stahl had four kills on 24 of 31 attacks.
Janiyah Waldner was 8 of 9 serving with an ace for the Lady Vikings, while Nave Gross was 3 of 4 with an ace and Eliana VanScharrel was 4 of 5.
Dara Olowu-Davies converted on 80 of 84 sets with 10 assists for JVC. Waldner tallied 30 digs, whiel Stahl had 24 digs and Kleinsasser had five blocks.
Both teams return to action today at the 281 Conference Tournament in Wessington Springs. James Valley Christian will play top-seeded Wolsey-Wessington at 10 a.m., while Sanborn Central/Woonsocket will be the No. 3 seed and will face Iroquois/Lake Preston at 11 a.m.
Miller 3, Parkston 2
MILLER Using a 15-11 win in the fifth set, Miller got past Parkston 3-2 on Thursday.
Parkston won the opening set 25-18, but the Rustlers rebounded with set wins of 25-20 and 25-15 to take the lead in the match. The Trojans forced the fifth set with a 25-21 victory in the fourth set.
Paige Werdel led Miller with 14 kills on 41 of 49 attacks, while Emma Pugh was 37 of 42 with 13 kills and Kaihlyn Anderberg was 41 of 49 with 12 kills.
Kate Lichty had four aces on 19 of 21 serving for the Rusterls, while Anderberg was 17 of 18 with three aces, Pugh was 15 of 18 with three aces and Gracen Werdel was 12 of 15 with three aces.
Gracen Werdel was 165 of 170 setting with 43 assists for Miller. Jolie Palmer had a team-high 37 digs on 37 of 37 passing, while Anderberg had 22 digs and Paige Werdel had 18 digs.
The Rustlers, who improved to 12-6, host Mt. Vernon/Plankinton on Tuesday.
Estelline/Hendricks 3, De Smet 1
DE SMET After dropping the opening set 25-19, Estelline/Hendricks rallied for a 3-1 win against De Smet on Thursday.
The Redhawks had consecutive set wins of 26-24, 25-23 and 25-21 to earn the victory and improve to 15-6.
Presley Bury had 13 kills, 26 assists and four aces to lead Estelline/Hendricks. Kori Saathoff had 12 kills, while Elyse Wegner added eight kills.
Cambry Bury had a pair of aces and 21 assists for the Redhawks, while Allie Duenwald had 20 digs.
Hazel Luethmers led De Smet with 21 kills, while Ivey Schoenfelder had 14 kills and Brooke Jennings added five kills.
Megan Dylla had a team-high 44 assists and a pair of aces for the Lady Bulldogs. Jennings and Luethmers each had an ace.
Aubree Blue racked up 18 digs for De Smet, which is now 11-5, while Jennings and Dylla had 12 and 10 digs, respectively. Luethmers had four blocks, while Charli McCune had three blocks.
The Lady Bulldogs will host Iroquois/Lake Preston on Tuesday.
Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 3, Highmore-Harrold 2
WOONSOCKET Sanborn Central/Woonsocket pulled out a 3-2 victory against Highmore-Harrold on Tuesday.
The Lady Blackhawks took a 2-0 lead with set wins of 2518 and 26-24, but Highmore-Harrold rallied back with set wins of 25-21 and 25-23 to force the tiebreaker.
Sanborn Central/Woonsocket edged the Pirates 15-13 in the final set to claim the match.
Liz Boschee and Addison Bartholow each had 10 kills for the Lady Blackhawks, while Kali Hofe rand Camie Edwards each had seven kills.
Hofer and Addy Baruth had 12 and 10 assists, respectively, for SC/W, while Bartholow had a pair of ace serves and Hofer had an ace.
Defensively, Hudson Fouberg amassed 37 digs for the Lady Blackhawks. Bartholow had 24 digs, while Hofer had 20 digs. Bochee recorded four blocks and Hofer had a pair of blocks.
Jada Baloun and Addison McDonnell each had nine kills for Highmore-Harrold.
Emma Ferrens recorded five ace serves and Tenley McDonnell had four aces and a tea-high 18 assists.
Lainee Ping tallied 27 digs and had three aces for the Pirates, who are now 8-8. Ferens had 21 digs, while Tenley McDonnell finished with 17 digs.
Carly Stephenson and Kaydence Hobert each had a solo block, while Addison McDonnell had a solo block and two assisted blocks.
Clark/Willow Lake 3, De Smet 0
DE SMET Clark/Willow Lake, which is ranked No. 4 in Class A, stayed undefeated with a sweep against De Smet on Tuesday.
The Cyclones won with set scores of 25-22, 25-20 and 25-22.
Shelby Begeman led Clark/Willow Lake with 11 kills. Ella Sass had eight kills and Kelsey Hofer added six kills.
Zoe Nichols had 21 assists and two aces for the Cyclones (15-0). Kadde Frankfurth had eight digs, while Zoey Helkenn had three digs.
Sass had nine of the 18 blocks for the Cyclones.
Hazel Luethmers had 16 of the 32 kills in the match for De Smet, while Brooke Jennings and Ivey Schoenfelder added six and four kills, respectively.
Megan Dylla had 28 assists and three ace serves for the Lady Bulldogs (11-5). Audi Currier had two aces and Aubree Blue had an ace.
Jennings, Luethmers and Blue all had 11 digs for De Smet. Luethmers had four blocks, while Jennings had three blocks.

MILLER Using set scores of 25-14, 25-11 and 25-14, Miller recorded a sweep against Chamberlain on Tuesday.
Emma Pugh had 12 kills on 18 of 21 attacks to lead the Rustlers. Kaihlyn Anderberg had 1nine killson 20 of 25 hitting, while Kate Lichty had six kills on 16 of 17 hitting.
Gracen Werdel was 11 of 13 serving with four aces, while Autumn Flore was 18 of 19 with an ace and Pugh was 11 of 12 with an ace.
Werdel had 26 of Millers 31 assists on 72 of 74 setting. Jolie Palmer was 13 of 13 passing with 12 digs, while Anderberg had six digs on 10 of 11 passing and Flor and Pugh each had four digs.
Natalie Nelson led Chamberlain (3-12) with four kills, while Jovie VanDenBosch had two kills. Sadie Herman and Jayda Brown each had an ace.
Jayde McQuirk had eight assists for the Cubs. VanDenBosch recorded 12 digs and Herman had 10 digs.
