BRANDON With four of the top 12 golfers, Harrisburg won the title at the Eastern South Dakota Conference Boys Golf Meet on Monday at Brandon Golf Course.
Harrisburg finished at 286, which put it seven strokes in front of second-placed Brandon Valley. Yankton was third with a 295, followed by Brookings at 297 and Watertown at 298.
Huron was last in the 10-team field with a 356.
Claiming the individual ESD title was Johnathan Lake of Watertown with a 3-under-par 68. Cole Brust of Aberdeen Central was second at 69, while Andrew Heinze of Brookings was third with a 69 and Jalen Dwire of Harrisburg was fourth with a 69.
Rounding out the top five was Will Peterson of Branodn Valley with a 69.
Chase Schuhardt was the top golfer for Huron with an 82. Ty Kleinsasser carded an 85, while Remington Wipf finished at 91 and Emrick DeDeyne had a 98.
Also competing for Huron was Blake Ellwein with a 107 and Oliver Stansfield with a 108.
Huron will close the season at the Class AA State Tournament, which is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday at Meadowbrook Golf Course in Rapid City.
