WATERTOWN The Huron seventh-grade volleyball team swept Watertown on Thursday.
The Tigers won the A-match with scores of 25-22 and 25-12.
Grace Diede was 12 of 12 serving with seven aces for Huron, whilt Natash Vasquez was 7 of 9 with two aces and had apair of kills.
Bentlea Fenske was 4 of 4 with four kills for the Tigers, while Javeah Mallett was 5 of 7 with three kills.
Huron won the B-match with scores of 26-24, 25-27 and 17-15.
Hattie Ross was 10 of 12 serving with eight aces, while Angie Marin Gonzalez was 6 0f 8 with three aces and December Chase had three aces on 4 of 7 serving.
Sofia Hulst was 9 of 10, while Kiera Hansen was 7 of 9 and Kaelynn Dubon was 5 of 7.
Huron took the C-match with scores of 26-24 and 25-12.
McKenzie Watson was 5 of 8 with four aces for the Tigers, while Addison Parker was 8 of 9 and Valetina Velez Sanchez was 6 of 8.
Huron won the D-match 25-17 and 25-19.
Watson was 9 of 11 with five aces for the Tigers, while Parker had four aces on 7 of 10 serving. Sanchez was 7 of 9 with two aces, while Elizabeth Pollock was 4 of 4 and Willow Katz was 3 of 5.
Huron hosts Mitchell on Tuesday
Eighth-grade
WATERTOWN Watertown swept Hurons eighth-grade volleyball team in three matches on Thursday.
The Arrows won the A-match with scores of 25-9 and 25-13.
McKenna Porisch was 5 of 5 hitting with two kills for Huron, while Lylli Hofer was 3 of 3 with a kill. Alyssa Urena and Arianna James were both 2 of 2 attacking.
James was perfect on eight serves with four aces, while Urena was 3 of 4.
Mercy Htoo was 2 of 2, while Hofer and Porisch were both 2 of 3.
Urena had three assists.
Watertown pulled out a win in the B-match with scores of 25-13 and 27-25.
Taelyn Larson and Grace Feldhaus each had two kills for Huron, while Adalyn Cunard had a kill.
Maddie McGaugh was 5 of 7 serving with two aces, while Feldhaus was 3 of 5 serving with a pair of aces. Wendy Hea and Htoo were both 4 of 4 and Amari Greene was 4 of 5 with an ace.
Watertown also swept the C-match.
Lay Htee was 8 of 8 serving with five aces for the Tigers, while Hea had five aces on 7 of 9 serving.
Feldhaus was perfect on six serves with two aces, while Jade Dunn was 4 of 6 with two aces. Adriana Glanzer was 4 of 4.
Huron will host Mitchell on Tuesday.
