Faith Alive women receive grant

HURON Faith Alive Womens Ministries recently held their annual Fun and Festivities Soup Supper which featured soups and sandwiches made from South Dakota pork. As a result, the organization received a $1,000 donation from Pipestone Cares, on behalf of Liberty Sow Farm, Yale.

Pipestone Cares is a charitable initiative that gives back to rural communities where their team members live and work. Each year, farmer-owners of sow farms managed by Pipestone give alongside Pipestone to support local organizations and the local community.

In 2024, Pipestone Cares supported more than 300 organizations and contributed over $280,000 to causes across the Midwest-including fire departments, FFA and 4-H chapters, and local youth and community programs. For over 80 years, Pipestone has lived their mission of Helping Farmers Today Create the Farms of Tomorrow. Today, they work with more than 1,100 farmers across the US, providing trusted expertise in swine health, management, nutrition, research, and business services. One of Pipestones core services is managing nearly 80 sow farms on behalf of independent farmers. Farmers invest together while maintaining ownership, and our team oversees daily operations to ensure a consistent supply of high-health pigs. This collaboration supports farm families and boosts local economies.
