HURON The Huron Public Library is excited to host a free classical guitar concert on Tuesday, October 28, at 6 p.m., featuring acclaimed guitarist Peter Fletcher.
Fletcher, based in Detroit and New York City, has earned critical acclaim for his recordings on Centaur Records and Towerhill Recordings. A graduate of the Eastman School of Music, he brings a diverse repertoire to his solo recitals, spanning the Renaissance to the 20th Century. The concert will also feature selections from his new CD, Peter Fletcher in Concert.

Peter Fletcher began studying guitar at age seven and trained under some of the worlds leading classical guitarists. He has performed at prestigious venues including Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, the Chicago Cultural Center, and the George Eastman House. His performances have been broadcast nationally on NPR and various public radio stations, and he continues to perform throughout the United States.
Outside music, Fletcher enjoys gardening, running, long-distance cycling, and collecting fountain pens. He is an avid reader, with a special fondness for the works of Cervantes, Proust, Faulkner, and Balzac. He divides his time between Detroit and New York City.
