HRMC honors Price for 32 years of service

HURON, S.D. Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) is celebrating the retirement of Shane Price, a valued member of the hospitals facilities team for 32 years, whose kindness, humor and creativity have left a lasting mark on the organization.

Throughout his more than three decades of service, Price has been known not only for his vast knowledge of the hospitals buildings and operations but also for his impact on patients and staff alike. His quick thinking and problem-solving skills often came to the rescue in unexpected ways, including the memorable time he was called to assist in removing a patients finger lodged in a helmet.

Prices creativity extended beyond daily operations. Over the years, he played an important role in building many of HRMCs floats for local events such as homecoming and the Parade of Lights, bringing smiles to the community and pride to the organization.

Known for his warm smile and kind sense of humor, he has been a friend and bright spot for many colleagues throughout his career. He was also recognized as Employee of the Month and the BEE Award for his dedication and commitment to the hospitals mission.

Shane embodies what it means to be part of the HRMC team, said Erick Larson, president and CEO for HRMC. His care for this organization, our staff and our patients has made a real difference and is a true example that it takes each one of us to make an impact. Were grateful for his decades of service and wish him all the best in retirement.

As Price embarks on this next chapter, he looks forward to traveling with his wife, Rhonda, and catching up on projects at home. HRMC extends its heartfelt thanks to Price for his many contributions and wishes him a happy, healthy and well-deserved retirement.
