Wolsey-Wessington 3, Redfield 0
REDFIELD Wolsey-Wessington, which received votes in the Class B rankings, cruised past Redfield on Monday.
The Lady Warbirds improved to 23-5 with set scores of 25-19, 25-15 and 25-20.
Timber Haeder had 16 killson 26 of 28 attacks for Wolsey-Wessington. Preslie Jensen was 13 of 14 attacking with sevent kills.
Kendal Uttecht was 91 of 91 setting with 31 assists for the Lady Warbirds. Whe also was 13 of 13 serving, while Taylor Eichstadt was 11 of 12 serving.
Shae Uttecht was 33 of 33 on digs, while Jensen had a solo block.
Hitchcock-Tulare 3, Sully Buttes 0
ONIDA Hitchcock-Tulare, which was No. 5 in the Class B rankings, earned its fifth straight victory with a sweep against Sully Buttes on Friday.
The Lady Patriots, who are now 25-4, won with set scores of 25-17, 25-16 and 25-17.
Rebecca Huizenga was 20 of 21 attacking with 12 kills to lead Hitchcock-Tulare. Cora Hofer had 10 kills on 24 of 27 attacks, while Tess Bixler was 9 fo 12 with six kills.
Huizenga was also perfect on 14 serves with two aces, while Olivia Knox had two aceson 13 of 13 serving, Gracyn Bixler also had two aceson 10 of 11 serving, while going 45 of 48 setting with 32 assists.
Defensively, Emmerie Arthurs and Cambree Hoekman had 12 and 11 digs, resepectively, for the lady Patriots. Hofer had a pair of assisted blocks.
Miller 3, Ethan 0
MILLER A sweep against Ethan gave Miller its eighth consecutive win on Friday.
The Rustlers claimed the match with set scores of 25-20, 25-22 and 25-21.
Kate Lichty led Miller with 12 kills on 22 of 23 attacks, while Paige Werdel had seven kills on 25 of 29 hitting and Kaihlyn Anderberg was 22 of 28 hitting with seven kills.
Anderberg was also 16 of 16 serving with three aces for the Ruslters, while Paige Werdel was 9 of 9 with thre aces.
Gracen Werdel was 99 of 101 setting with 33 assists.
Jolie Palmer had a team-high 14 digs for Miller. Paige Werdel and Anderberg eachhad 13 digs, while Emma Pugh had eight digs.
Marissa Storm led Ethan with 12 kills. She also had two aces and 12 digs.
Mya Storm inked two ace serves for Ethan, while Tazich Hawkins had 14 assists.
Groton Area 3, Redfield 0
REDFIELD Groton Area, which was receiving votes in the Class A rankings, swept Redfield on Friday.
The Tigers won the match with scores of 25-9, 25-18 and 25-21.
Tevan Hanson was 19 of 26 attacking with 10 kills for Groton Area (22-5), while Chesney Weber was 16 of 16 hittig with eight kills. Weber also had 21 assists.
Jaedyn Penning was 22 of 23 serving with a pair of aces for the Tigers. Jerica Locke recorded 14 digs, while McKenna Tietz had 11 digs.
Hayden Gall and Kinley Smith each had seven kills to lead Redfield. Gall was 22 of 23 hitting, while Smith was 15 of 23.
Layla Harding was 50 of 52 setting with 12 assists for the Pheasants (9-15), while Gall was 30 of 31 with 10 assists.
Hardie also was 14 of 15 serving with an ace, while Brynn Giblin ws 5 of 5 with an ace.
Charlie Jungwirth was 14 of 17 digging,w hile Gall was 10 of 14.
