HURON Changes in federal funding altered the timeline for the remaining work on South Dakota Highway 37, known as Dakota Avenue, as it passes through Huron.
According to the SD Department of Transportations statewide transportation improvement plan (STIP), the project will begin in 2027 with a total cost of more than $16 million, more than $12 million of which is coming from federal funds.
