Clark/Willow Lake 64, Great Plains Lutheran 26
WILLOW LAKE — Clark/Willow Lake held Great Plains Lutheran scores in the first and third quarters en route to a 64-26 victory on Monday.

The Cyclones, who are ranked No. 3 in Class A, led 24-0 after the opening quarter and 41-14 at the half.

They outscored GPL 16-0 in the third quarter to build a 57-14 advantage heading into the final quarter.

Emmerson Larson had 17 points to lead four players in double figures for Clark/Willow Lake, which improved to 12-1. Chris Bevers had 14 points, while Bo Begeman and Sully Felberg each had 11 points.

Jakob Steen and Felberg each had eight rebounds for the Cyclones. Bevers had team highs with sevne assists and six steals.

Isaac Kjenstad led Great Plains Lutheran (4-5) with six points. Lucas Johnson had five rebounds.

ARLINGTON — Iroquois/Lake Preston used its dominant inside game to power past Arlington 82-63 on Monday.

Arlington built a 21-14 lead in the opening quarter, but the Sharks used a 56-26 scoring advantage in the next two quarters to take control with a 70-47 lead at the end of the third quarter.

Iroquois/Lake Preston, which improved to 5-7, scored 46 points in the paint, compared to 28 for the Cardinals.

Lucas Peskey led the Sharks with 26 points, 10 rebounds and seven steals. Carter Arbeiter had 19 points, while Ervin Carter added 15 points and Brycen Blue had nine points and a team-high six assists.

Paxton Rheault and Miles Antonen had 18 and 17 points, respectively, for Arlington (0-11). Jake Burns also reached double figures with 12 points.

Antonen had 11 boards for the Cardinals, while Antonen had four assists and Adrian Schneider-King had four steals.

COLMAN — De Smet, which is ranked No. 2 in Class B, escaped with aan 81-80 victory against Dawson-Boyd (Minn.) during the Dakota Valley Classic on Saturday.

The Bulldogs, who are now 9-2, led 45-41 at the half.

Grant Wilkinson amassed a game-high 44 points, including a 14-of-17 effort from the free-throw line, to lead De Smet. Noah Luethmers and Carter Wilkinson each had 11 points.

Grant Wilkinson grabbled 20 rebounds and had a pair of steals for the Bulldogs. Slayten Wilkinson had six assists.

De Smet will return to Colman on Friday to play Colman-Egan.

MILLER — Sunshine Bible Academy earned its first win of the season on Saturday with a 65-63 victory against Tiospaye Topa.

The Crusaders led 16-8 after the opening quarter and carried a 32-27 lead into the second half. Tiospaye Topa pulled to within a point at 46-45 heading into the final quarter, but SBA held on for the win.

Isaac Hague had 30 points to lead four players in double figures for the Crusaders, who are now 1-9.

Henrik Wipf had 14 points, while Toby Mickelson and Anders Wipf had 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Hague also had a team-high nine rebounds. Mickelson had three assists and three steals, while Henrik Wipf and Hague also had three steals.

MILLER — Using a 14-2 run in the second quarter, Kimball/White Lake built a 22-6 lead at the half en route to a 38-17 victory, which was its first win of the season, against Sunshine Bible Academy on Saturday.

The WiLdKats, who are now 1-10, held the Crusaders scoreless in the third quarter to carry a 29-6 lead into the final quarter.

Cierra Mickelson finished with 10 points to lead SBA, which is now 1-9. She also had team highs with eight rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Soleil Mickelson also had two steals for the Crusaders.
