WOLSEY — Sanborn Central/Woonsocket held Wolsey-Wessington scoreless in the second quarter en route to a 55-49 victory in a 281 Conference matchup on Saturday.
The Blackhawks, who improved to 12-3, led 18-17 after the opening quarter and carried a 26-17 lead into the second half. Wolsey-Wessington managed to pull back to within four points, 40-36, at the end of the third quarter, but the comeback bid would fall short.
Sam Baruth had 19 points, which included six 3-pointers, to lead Sanborn Central/Woonsocket. Landon Jensen and Grant Edwards had 12 and 11 points, respectively, while Eli White added eight points.
Ten of the 17 field goals in the game by Wolsey-Wessington were from 3-point range.
Larz Tvedt had 19 points, including five 3-pointers, for the Warbirds (10-7). Caleb Richmond had 11 points, while Clay Kahre and Jett Kleinsasser had nine and eight points, respectively.

SIOUX FALLS — For the second time in a week, Class B’s top-ranked team suffered a 3-point setback.
Sioux Valley, which is receiving votes in the Class A rankings, rallied in the final quarter to emerge with a 65-62 victory against De Smet during the Heritage Classic on Saturday at the Sanford Pentagon.
The Cossacks, who improved to 11-5, led 17-14 after the first quarter and 29-27 at the half. However, De Smet carried a 49-48 lead into the final quarter.
Brady Hiltunen tallied a game-high 34 points to lead Sioux Valley, while Connor Reif added 16 points and Holdyn Ruesink had seven points.
Hiltunen had seven rebounds for the Cossacks, while Carter Sapp had three assists and Reif had a pair of steals.
Noah Luethmers converted on five 3-pointers en route to scoring 23 points for De Smet. Grant Wilkinson added 22 points and had 16 rebounds.
Slayten Wilkinson had six assists for the Bulldogs, who are now 11-4.

MITCHELL — Mitchell Christian led 38-13 at the half en route to a 61-49 victory against Sunshine Bible Academy on Monday.
Isaac Hague had 22 points to lead the Crusaders, while Henrik Wipf had 11 points. Anders Wipf added eight points.
Hague and Jonah Pribyl each had nine rebounds for SBA. Henrik Wipf had four assists, while Toby Mickelson had three steals.

MILLER — A 23-10 run in the third quarter helped Miller to a 69-57 victory against Platte-Geddes on Saturday.
The Rustlers trailed 32-30 at the half, before making their push for the lead.
Will Resel had 21 points to lead three players in double figures for Miller, which improved to 6-9. Isaak Hunter had 18 points, while Oliver Fritzsche had 16 points.
Jameson Leader and Isaac Leader had 18 and 17 points, respectively, for Platte-Geddes.
Jay Bailey and Landon Wright each had seven rebounds for the Black Panthers, who are now 9-6. Jye Bailey had four assists, while Isaac Leader had four steals.
Herreid/Selby Area 60, Sunshine Bible Academy 38
HIGHMORE — Herreid/Selby Area defeated Sunshine Bible Academy 60-38 during the Action Club Classic on Saturday.
The Wolverines, who improved to 8-7, lead 14-9 at the end of the opening quarter and outscored SBA 20-6 in the second quarter to open a 34-15 advantage at the half.
Isaac Hague and Jonah Pribyl had 11 and 10 points, respectively, to lead SBA. Henrik Wipf had sevent points, while Toby Mickelson had six points.
Henrik Wipf had eight rebounds and three assists for the Crusaders, who are now 1-14. Pribyl had a team-high four steals.

The Cyclones, who improved to 14-2, led 14-6 after the first quarter and outscored Sisseton 17-3 in the second quarter to lead 31-9 at the half.
Sully Felberg had 20 points to lad Clark/Willow Lake, while Chris Bevers had 10 points. Bo Begeman and Jakob Steen had eight and seven points, respectively.
Emmerson Larson had a team-high 11 rebounds and five steals for the Cyclones. Bevers and Felberg each ad a pair of steals.
Derrick Flute led Sisseton with 10 points and seven rebounds. Carter Stickland added nine points.

Korbin Stark had a game-high 28 points to lead Faulkton Area. Spencer Melius and Weston Senn each had 12 points, while Landon Dikoff and Logan Niederbaumer each had seven oints.
Noah Fast and Jayven Van Scharrel each had 23 points for James Valley Christian (8-7). Kyler Boomsma also reached double figures with 12 points.

WOLSEY — Sanborn Central/Woonsocket, which is ranked No. 9 in Class B, escaped with a 43-41 victory in a 281 Conference matchup with Wolsey-Wessington on Saturday.
After both teams put up 21 points in the first half, upset-minded Wolsey-Wessington carried a 32-31 lead into the final quarter.
Liz Boschee finished with a game-high 28 points to lead the Lady Blackhawks, who improved to 13-3. Cami Edwards had seven points.
Shae Uttecht led Wolsey-Wessingotn, which is now 8-8, with 16 points. Kendal Uttecht had nine points, while Raya Toupal and Maria Nelson had seven and six points, respectively.

MADISON — In a battle between two of the top teams in Class A, it was No. 5-ranked Sioux Falls Christian collecting a 53-29 victory against No. 7-ranked Clark/Willow Lake at the Dak XII/NEC Class on Saturday.
Lezlie Setzer had 18 pointst to lead the Chargers, wo improved to 13-3, and was named as the Player of the Game.
Kamryn Nesheim had nine points to lead Clark/Willow Lake, which is now 13-2. Shelby Begeman had seven points and seven rebounds, while Jenny Bevers had five points.
Andes Central/Dakota Christian 54, Sunshine Bible Academy 27
MILLER — After leading 34-14 at the half, Andes Central/Dakota Christian outscored Sunshine Bible Academy 16-4 in the third quarter to build a 50-18 lead.
The Thunder would go on to win 54-27 to improve to 3-15.
Tessa Hinman and Ciera Mickelson each had eight points for Sunshine Bible Academy, which is now 1-15. Kalyn Sarchet added four points.
Ciera Mickelson also had a team highs with seven rebounds and three assists for the Lady Crusaders. Soleil Mickelson had four steals.
SBA will play at Ipswich on Friday.

HURON — Four players reached double figures, as Estelline/Hendricks earned a 59-46 victory against James Valley Christian on Saturday.
The Redhawks led 27-20 at the half and pulled away in the second half to improve to 5-12.
Kori Saathoff had 16 points to lead Estelline/Hendricks, which is now 5-12. Halle IntVeld had 14 points, followed by Cambry Bury with 12 points and Presly Bury with 11 points.
Rylin Wipf and Dara Olowu-Davies each had 12 points for JVC, which is now 2-13. Addison Kleinsasser also reached double figures with 11 points.
The Lady Vikings will travel to play Arlington on Thursday.

MADISON — Elk Point-Jefferson pulled away late to secure a 44-34 victory against Redfield during the Dak XII/NEC Clash on Saturday.
The Huskies led 24-21 heading into the second half and carried a 31-29 advantage into the final quarter, where they outscored Redfield 13-5.
Carly Schmitz had 26 points to lead Elk Point-Jefferson, which improved to 6-10. Makinley Hammitt also reached double figures with 11 points and had six rebounds.
Hammitt and Schmitz each had three assists for the Huskies, while Katie Hayes had four steals.
Charli Jungwirth had nine points and nine rebounds to lead Redfield, which is now 4-11. Hayden Gall had seven points, while Kinley Smith and Rylen Frericks each had six points.
