DE SMET — Behind 35 points from Grant Wilkinson, top-ranked De Smet defeated Elkton-Lake Benton 86-71 on Thursday.
Carter Wilkinson had 27 points for the Bulldogs, who are now 11-3, while Noah Luethmers had 12 points.
Grant Wilkinson also had a team-high 15 rebounds for De Smet. Slayten Wilkinson had eight assists.
The Bulldogs return to action today, when they will face Sioux Valley, which is receiving votes on the Class A rankings, in the Heritage Classic at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls. The game is slated for 7 p.m.

LAKE PRESTON — Iroquois/Lake Preston took control and pulled away in the second half for a 61-47 victory against St. Mary’s on Thursday.
The Sharks, who improved to 6-10, trailed 29-26 at the half. They used a 17-2 run in the third quarter to carry a 43-31 advantage into the fourth quarter.
Erin Carter had 15 points off the bench to lead five players in double figures for Iroquois/Lake Preston.
Carter Arbieter had 12 points, while Lucas Peskey and Rexton Blue each had 11 points and Brycen Blue had 10 points.
Carter also had a team-high 11 rebounds for the Sharks, while Peskey had three steals and Ben Curd had two assists.
Trimmier Hanson had a game-high 19 points to lead St. Mary’s, which is now 7-8. Isaac Griffin added seven points.

Kamden Keszler had 16 points to lead the Warriors to the win, while Trevor Everson added 10 points.

HIGHMORE — Highmore-Harrold earned its second win of the season with a 59-40 victory against Sunshine Bible Academy in a 281 Conference matchup.
The Pirates, who are now 2-11, outscored SBA 21-6 in the second quarter to build a 29-17 lead.
Avery Hall had 16 points to lead the Crusaders, who are now 1-12. Isaac Hague had 11 points, while Toby Mickelson added nine points.
Hague and Mickelson each had six rebounds for SBA. Hague also had a team-high three assists, along with three steals. Henrik Wipf also had three steals.

Parkston led 10-6 after the opening quarter, but Sanborn Central/Woonsocket rallied to take a 21-20 lead a the half. The Trojans regained the lead at 36-33 heading into the final quarter.
Keeara Oakley had a game-high 28 points for Parkston, which improved to 14-1. Berkley Ziebart had 14 points, while Morgan Maxwell added 10 points.
Oakley snagged 10 rebounds and had four steals for the Trojans. Ziebart had five assists.
