De Smet holds top seed for Region 2B
HURON — De Smet will be the top seed for the Region 2B Tournament.
The Bulldogs, who are 16-4, will host the winner of Monday’s play-in game between
No. 8 Iroquois/Lake Preston (8-12) and No. 9 Oldham-Ramona-Rutland (5-14) on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Iroquois/Lake Peston will host O-R-R at 6 p.m. Monday in Lake Preston.
In the other Region 2B play-in game Monday, No. 7 James Valley Christian (11-9) hosts No. 10 Arlington at 7 p.m.. The winner plays at No. 2 Castlewood (17-3) on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Wessington Springs (16-4) is the No. 3 seed in Region 2B and will host No. 6 Wolsey-Wessington (11-9) on Tuesday at 7 p.m., with the winner advancing to the semifinals on Thursday.
Region 3B
Sanborn Central/Woonsocket (15-5) will be the second seeded for the Region 3B Tournament.
The Blackhawks will host the winner between Monday’s play-in game between No. 7 St. Mary’s (8-12) and No. 10 Canistota (1-19) on Tuesday in Woonsocket. A time for the game has not been announced.
Region 1B
Hitchcock-Tulare will be the No. 6 seed for the Region 1B Tournament with an 8-12 record.
The Patriots will play at No. 3 Waubay/Summit (14-6) on Tuesday. A time for the game has not been announced. The winner advances to the semifinals on Thursday.
Region 6B
Highmore-Harrold and Sunshine Bible Academy will participate in play-in games on Monday in Region 6B
No. 8 Highmore-Harrold (3-17) will host No. 9 Tiosplaye Topa (5-15), while No. 10 Sunshine Bible Academy (1-19) travels to play No. 7 Wakpala (7-12). Game times for the both games have not been announced.
The winner between Highmore-Harrold and Tiospaye Topa advances to face top-seeded Sully Buttes (15-5) on Tuesday. The winner between Wakpala and Sunshine Bible Academy will play at second-seeded Ipswich (12-8) on Tuesday.
Clark/Willow Lake holds top seedin Region 2A
HURON — Clark/Willow Lake is the top seed for the Region 2A Tournament.
The Cyclones, who are 18-2, will face the winner between fourth-seeded Elkton-Lake Benton (12-8) and No. 5 Great Plains Lutheran (7-13) on Thursday. The site and start time have not been announced.
Miller will be the No. 5 seed for the Region 6A Tournament. The Rustlers, who are 10-10, will play at fourth-seeded Cahmberlain (11-9) on Tuesday at 7 p.m. with the winner advancing to face top-seeded Stanley County (18-2) in Ft. Pierre on Thursday at 7 p.m.
With a 3-17 record, Redfield will be the seventh seed for the Region 1A Tournament. The Pheasants will play at second-seeded Webster Area (12-8) on Tuesday at 7 p.m., with the winner advancing to the semifinals on Thursday.
