HURON –– Daniel Paul Horn, age 85, of Huron, passed away peacefully on Saturday March 7, 2026, at Avera Queen of Peace in Mitchell after a short illness with COVID.
His memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 16, at the Kuhler Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by the Huron Veteran’s Council.
His visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday.
He is survived by three children, Larry Horn, Carol (Paul) Cozine and Nancy Horn; two grandchildren, Tysen (Abby) Parker and Kylynn (Alex) Stahl; three great-grandchildren, Daniel Parker, Hunter Parker and Addisen Parker; all of Huron, SD; one sister, Pearl (Kenny) Klages of Miller, SD; two brothers, Joel (Theresea) Horn of Huron, SD and Francis (Vicki) Horn of Douglas, Wyoming; one sister-in-law, Diane Horn of Gillette, Wyoming; two brothers-in-laws, George (Evie) McBride of Sioux Falls, SD and Ben (Thetna) McBride of Hermosa, SD; and one sister-in-law, Joan McBride of Huron, SD.
