To the editor,
Watching what is happening in states pertaining to our election process, I feel the need to respond.
It seems we never had any real problems with elections until Trump lost in 2020. We had an insurrection on Jan. 6 where we would have lost our democracy had it not been for Vice President Pence standing up for our democracy. Trump called it a peaceful protest, even though lives were lost and millions of dollars of damage were done to the Capitol.
Fox News had to pay Dominion Voting Systems Corporation $767.5 million because it lied about the result of the election.
Now, Trump controls the “RUBBER STAMP” Congress and the Supreme Court, until they finally stood up for the rule of law and the Constitution. Trump has gotten rid of career prosecutors because they follow the law and replaced them with lackeys who will do what he tells them in the DOJ.
If the federal government took over elections as Trump wants, tell me it would be fair if Trump controlled all the government.
Trump mentions 15 blue states or cities that he felt didn’t treat him right, and this is the guy who says our election would be fairer if under federal control. If you want a dictator running everything, federal control would be the way to go.
Why does Trump keep saying there is rampant voter fraud with no evidence to back up his claims? I guess he doesn’t need proof when he has his lackeys in Congress to do his bidding.
The national debt is currently $38.74 trillion and rising $6 billion per day, and nobody seems to care, least of all, the King of Debt. He seems to be doing alright as his net worth has gone up $4 billion since taking office.
