HURON –– Dakotaland Federal Credit Union, in partnership with Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines (FHLB Des Moines), is pleased to announce that TeamMates of Huron will receive an $8,750 grant from the Member Impact Fund. This matching grant program will result in FHLB Des Moines awarding more than $12.9 million in funding to support affordable housing and community development in Alaska, South Dakota, Guam, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
According to Dakotaland Federal Credit Union’s CEO, Ryan Goehner, “Providing the amenities a family needs to build a better way of life is at the heart of the credit union’s financial cooperative movement. We are humbled and privileged to be able to give back to our striving communities by awarding TeamMates of Huron a $8,750 grant in partnership with Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines. These funds are designated to mentor youth and strengthen the family unit.”
TeamMates’ mission is to positively impact the world by inspiring students to reach their full potential through mentoring. The long-term vision is to maximize the number of students they serve with high quality, long lasting relationships.
